`Optional`needsUpgrade

needsUpgrade?(encodedPassword: string): boolean
Whether a stored hash should be replaced by encode() of the password once it matched (a legacy format, or weaker parameters than new hashes get). Login does so when the UserService can store passwords (UserService.updatePassword).
